Referring to paragraph 3 of my Despatch No. #415 of 8th. December, 1910, I have the honour to inform you that
I have granted to Mr. F. C. Fig, Director of the Observatory, a
pension at the rate of $1,815 per annum at 3 s. 8 d. to the
dollar equals £332 15 with effect from 14th. June, 1912, and
that the Crown Agents for the Colonies will in due course be instructed to issue payments to him as they become due.

Mr. Figg has applied for 4 months leave of
absence on full pay prior to retirement and, as Mr. J. I. Plumer
was granted this privilege, and as this is an equally deserving case, I have informed Mr. Figg that, subject to your approval,
the leave for which he has applied will be granted.
